Evo. GT-R's are overrated. Had my chance to get a GT-R... I'm good; That's why I got 2 Evos...

wow this statement is sooooooooooo true i have several friends that live in japan and skylines are like mustangs here. seriously i cant wait till my evo is fully built then ill have plenty of fun for sure. Besides what i dont get about you guys saying skyline is have you considered cost of parts breaking and having to fix it. Lets take the r35 according to the dealership tranny fails and need anew one you have 25k to laydown for anew one. even if you had to chance and copped one if you dont live in japan parts are insane expensive even to mod its like buying anew evo everytime you have a failure. ill pass for sure.

Suprised noone is getting there panties in a bunch over "R35" terminology... I like the R35 moniker to.

I mean come on the new skyline is absolute sex on wheels, but with an 80K + price tag I can build a monster evo.

Evo for me.

I voted for the Evo. Money is always part of the equation (especially for me), and not only is the Skyline more expensive to buy, but aftermarket parts are equally as expensive. On the other hand, the Evo is a great platform and parts/knowledge are readily available.

Of course, I am all about having a fast street car, and am not looking to build a show car or road race car.

I own both, so I can honestly say I favor the Skyline GT-R. Living in Japan you get a great respect for both, but I know how down right nasty you can make a Skyline....Evos too, but the pure power of that inline-6 RB motor is rediculous.

Yes, they are expensive but they are damn well worth it in my opinion. Unless you've owned one it's hard to understand. But, I would only own a Skyline GT-R though...any other Skyline like a GTST is like a Mustang (just like Remix002 said) in Japan. But Skyline GT-Rs are still a rare gem.

I love all of the skylines honestly. I would prefer an R33 and R34.....one of each...haha. I'm sure if I lived in a part of the world where skylines were easily attainable and the Evo was the crowned jewel that never graced our shores then I would lust after the Evo more. That just seems to be how it all works. Take Japan for example. The don't make a big deal out of skylines but they love Mustangs from what I hear.

Well If you put them in the Right Class for comparing I would love both. But a skyline and a evo are not alike or the same... the Skyline is twice the price new compared to a new Evo, skyline stock has almost double the power, 2 door to 4 door comparison, and 4 cyl. to 6 cyl too. No comparison or even same class or category. Only things that makes them similar is both are awd, both are from Japan and both are some of the best and most badass cars ever made If money wasn't the issue I would have a GTR but I would also have the Evo too

Skyline is an awesome car by any means but i picked the Evo because they've been selling them here since 2003 and i love mine, and i cant afford the new GT-R.
