Hey everyone,
Ive been in the forums for a lil while now, but never gave an intro. I live in beautiful Oahu, Hawaii, and I drive two babies. 1st of which has been my project car for about 2 years now and has alot of my skin in the engine bay. Its my '90 240sx with SR20DET swap and Plenty more. Used to Drift in comps and love to have fun in it. Then i went out and bought my 05 TB Evo VIII (which is by far slower than my 240) in January. Love it to death but it has been nothing but troubles for me. Long story short, its been on stands in my garage for over half of my time owning it. Should be almost fixed/done. Hoping tomorrow actually. I will have pics and the whole story on a future thread. So thats my story. Would love to hear from you guys and cant wait talk with you guys further.

Again, long story short, After numerous issues, and fixing, overall problem... A rocker was free-floating in the head of the engine. Tomorrow a good friend of mine and I will finish up the timing, put the engine back together, and turn the key. Wish us luck

Alright, so we timed it and put everything back together. sounds real good but doesnt turn over, And we cant hear the fuel pump prime or any thing. So we are thinking that its something with the fuel. Its a brand new Walbro. So tomorrow we are going to try to take it out, put it in my buds evo, and see if its the pump. if not, then we gotta see wheather its wiring, relays, injectors or what not. Was bummed that it didnt start. But hopefully this will be the last problem i have for a while. any of you guys have any ideas what it could be?

 

Ah, another 240SX owner! I have an '89 with an SR swap. Using an S15 T28 and with all the mods I have it should put out close to 300 whp. I am putting the finishing touches on it as I type this. I'm here casually looking for my next project car.

What do you have done to yours?

When you bought your Evo, did you know it had issues or were they all new to you?

Car came with problems... didnt know the extent. i got boned. not happy bout it. we are now we are talking to Bushur and seeing the quotes to ship off my engine to be fixed/built.

as for the 240, I got Lots done to it. Its my baby. Im puttin a very good amount down. My bud owns a 500whp camaro, and i walk him everytime. so... you can just use your imagination. But im sadly selling it. for the money for the evo. sad day
