Need Advice

Hi guys, hoping I can get some advice from all of you on what to do with my 90gsx. I cant decide on if I want to keep it, part it out, or sell it. I just bought my 06 ix, so I dont know if I should keep it anymore.

GSX mods
2.3
280 cams
manley valve springs+retainers
Arp head, rod, and main studs
dsmlink
tre tranny
1000cc injectors
GT35R
Dnp manifold
JMF intake
SBR Race intercooler kit
Tial blow off valve
tial 44mm wastegate
3inch exhaust
small battery kit
magnus fuel rail
6-an line from the tank up
cross/drilled rotors front+back
kyb agx all around
big brake upgrade
fluidyne radiator
2800lb pressure plate with unsprung iron disc

I dont know if I should take what I can off my gsx and convert over to the evo, or keep the gsx like it is and make it just a flat out track car only while modding the evo on top of it (my goal for the evo is 450-500 on pump gas for my daily driver

what would you guys do?

Decision

You could make some money by parting it out. You do have to consider the time and work to take out all the parts. Then you have to find all of the stock parts, unless you kept them. With all the money from parting it out or selling it, you could use that for modding your Evo.

I've got an 8 year old car that I barely use anymore that just takes up space in the garage. However, I sold most of the stock parts and don't want to go through the hassle of turning it back to stock and shopping for stock parts. It's just a waste of space now for something I don't use.

If you're going to the track and will benefit from keeping the GSX, then keep it. Looks like you put a lot of money and effort into building it already. So, keep it if you're going to use it.

If not, I'd sell it and use the money on the new project. You're going to need it if you want 450-500 hp!

Good luck and enjoy the Evo.

thanks for the advice man! I do plan on taking it to the track and enjoying some weekend driving with it. I have put alot of time and money into the gsx. I have had it for 8 years now, and have changed the setup over 4 times. I have put so much blood, sweat, and tears into the car that I just cant let it go.

I love my new evo!! I want the best of both worlds, clean fast 1g and almost just as fast daily driven evobut like you said I could have a car that takes up space and even more money just sitting there.

Dsm's are awesome! But if thats ur goal for the evo y not part your car out for extra money! Its gunn b a little tough hitting those numbers on pump gas, but its possible! If you part out let me know my brother is looking for a gt35 and a dsm link or aem!

well started working on the gsx today. I bleed the clutch, and checked for boost leaks. The bleeding helped, but still doesnt feel right. I really hate these hydraulics on this car they have all been replaced and clutch pedal has been welded to, but no matter what I do it seems something is always wrong with it. No boost leaks were found, so I took it out and drove it down the road, I just know something is wrong with it. It spools slower from what I remember. It seems to start spooling around 4200 and hits full boost 21psi by 5200. I need to tune this thing to help it spool faster

I will be investing some new parts into her. Pics will come later.
