trade the civic???

ok so i know what you guys are gonna say, and ive got my mind made up but i just want a little input on if yall think its a good deal. ok so i ran across a 03 EVO 8, 88K, Clean and Clear title. Its RR with no bodydamage whatso ever. has Greddy BOV, HKS turbo timer and exhaust, otherwise its stock. The GIRL that has it has owned it since 40k and shes in some financial trouble so she is wanting to sale the evo and get another dd thats good on gas, so the deal is, trade my 00 civic si, and 6k cash for the evo. and shes asking 17000obo for it!!!civic has a salvage title but its the nicest around, no ricer bull**** 126k on the clock. Ima probably jump on it i just wanted to see what yall thought. Any input will be appreciated.

The price seems kind of high but I would take an evo over a civic for many reasons. I would really inspect the car and test drive it all over the place. With that many miles on it, things like a water pump, timing belt etc should be serviced at 65k. An evo that wasn't properly taken care of can be a real money pit. Good luck but I think you've already made up your mind

Yeah, its kinda high but then kind of not.. if its in good condition. Give it a good test drive for at least 30 minutes to see how it runs normally, under wot, at idle, etc. Btw to the guy that said that evo's that are not taken care of are real money pits... thats any car that is not taken car of..

thanks guys for the input, the miles are a little high but like k20toEVO said id never get 11k for my si, i love that car to death but lets face it, its slow as hell, i could take the 6k and turbo the B16 and be alright but at the end of the day its still a civic. anyway about the evo, its in really good shape but im still gonna run a carfax and check it out very well, 88k doesnt really bother me because its going to be my DD and ill be putting close to 60 miles a day on it so its gonna rack up pretty fast, id rather spend 6k on a evo as a DD, versus 20k for one thats going to end up with the same amount of miles. thanks tho keep it comin, someone might talk me outta it! and what about service at 100k what all has to be done? thanks guys

Kepp the Si, i would still have my 99 Si if it didn't get stolen. I paid $18990 for my 03 Evo with 27k miles, bone stock.

which is like the price of an '08 si

I would offer the trade and $4k, I feel that is fair, and not a rip off.

I actually drove the new Si, didn't like it all that much. Felt like the power was fake, not like the 99-00 Si.
