Newbie to EVOm from RI
New guy to this board. I have been around DSMs for the past few years. I just finished my own car which is a 97 Eclipse Spyder GS. Started off as a 2.4 SOHC N/A slower then your moms mini-van. I wanted to turbo it bad! So I pulled the motor rebuilt it did a DOHC swap put a 16g on it and blew the motor up. I just rebuilt a stock 6 bolt with some decent parts in it. I personally did the motor myself parts included. New Rings, ACL Race Bearings, ARP Head Studs, OEM MLS head Gasket, FP2 cams. Nothing major but good enough for a street car. My turbo of choice is a PTE6169SP. I got a killer deal on it so I had to jump on it. I am only on 12psi as of right now
. That will soon be more like 25 on the street and 30 at the track. I just need a bit more injector to make it happen. That car been fully converted over to a Talon so it stands out in a crowd
. I am hoping to get into a EVO by the end of next year and plans would be stock motor head studs and a 35r
. Obviously the supporting mods to go along with it.
I am getting more and more into the EVOScan program to help a friend of mine out tune his car. I am use to DSMLink so this is all new to me. Also in the process at my work of taking the AEM training classes so that is helping out a HUGE amount. Any other question go ahead and ask. I will put up some pics of my headache.
