Yeah it dinged up and yeah it's normal dino oil so it's not very thin or great looking. As long as there's enough for the oil change, then I'd say use it but if it's $26 for an entire container then ask why it was opened... $26 is pretty cheap so it sounds like they gave you a discount but they should have told you this.

The part number may be different. This is what I used for my transfer case/rear diff. I used Redline MT90/Shockproof for tranny instead of OEM.
