Hello, New member here
Hey guys,
I've been reading alot from the newbie guides and I found it really helpful
Hopefully, if things work out I will be going to pick up a 2003 apex silver evo next week. It has some basic mods like: mbc, tbe, k&n drop-in, boost, egt, and oil pressure gauges. Suspension mods: swift Springs, bilstein mr hd shocks/struts.
Anyways, I plan on upgrading the licp with ppi and getting a evo 9 dv. My question is will I have to get it tuned if I do these 2 mods? (because I don't know any evo tuners in Michigan yet)

A LICP and an evo 9 dv will not really require a tune, unless you've been leaking boost out the stock evo 8 valve. I swapped out DV's on my evo 8 and found out it was leaking, it ran an extra 2 or 3lbs of boost after that.
Thanks for the info. Im really excited about getting it.
Here are some pictures:
Thats a good looking Evo!
It really depends a lot on the "tune" it has currently...or lack off. A MBC alone will require one in my opinion. The stock tune is very rich so many people will put a few mods on the car which will lean out the stock richness of the tune and be happy with it. Its always a gamble because you don't know what is really happening till you can see the data (boost plot, AFR's....)
Nice choice of the LICP
As far as getting the car tuned in MI that is not a problem. I'll send you a PM.
