Exhaust System

I need some advice I know this subject has been brought up before BUT I am getting ready to buy an exhaust system for my OZ and I can't decide between the RRM, the RMR, or the Buschur exhaust I am looking for a combination of good performance and affordability. I am leaning towards the Buscher and the RRM exhaust as they are more in my price range and according to many of the threads they are good systems. Then again so are the Greddy evo and the RMR exhaust systems. I have to divide my money between upgrades on my lancer and my wifes spyder, also I have to decide on spending 500-600 dollars on a Greddy or RMR exhaust and then wait a long time to get a header or get the RRM or Buschur exhaust and be able to afford the RRm header for christmas.

If you're looking to save money find a shop to make you a custom one. If you want to do it yourself, imo Buschur is the only way to go. Try reading parts review. God knows we already have more than enough exhaust threads.

i like the RRM axel back. for non forced induction there isnt much gain from a catback vs axelback.

Now if you are turbo or going turbo you may want to plan ahead.

You should buy the RRM Greddy exhaust - the fit is excellent and the sound is awesome. I have it on my lancer and i love it. You will get your money's worth if you buy it. Sure it costs a little more but it is worth it.

BTW - i posted a response about my exhaust in the parts review section so check it out.

I love how everything RRM sells people tack their name onto.

I like the GReddy exhaust, but the cost is prohibitive. I love the Buschur exhaust, but it does have some hanger problems. If you want to bolt it up yourself I don't think there's a better way to go than one of those two. I can't justify the costs of axel backs vs having a muffler welded in or getting a custom cat back done.

i just bolted up the Greddy and a RRM test pipe, sounds great
i did have to buy a new 0'2 sensor because i could not get the old one out. The price of that was kind of a hit, but it will be alot easier when emissions come around, just bolt up the cat and plug in the o2 instead of messing with trying to pull it out again

if i were you and had 500 i would deffinetly go with the greddy. i have never heard a bad comment about them except they are quiet. that is a good thing though if you have decibal laws in your state or town. i had the buschur exhuast i loved it. it looked like it was almost stock but deffinetly didnt sound like it was stock. the onyl thing i didnt like was it needed one more hanger to fully hang in place but i got it taken care of. i have mine for sale if you interested just im or pm me. also if i were you i would try to make sure you get stainless steel piping and also try to make sure the piping is madrel bent which the rrm, greddy and buschur are.

Indeed, don't be afraid to go to your local muffler shop and ask some questions. It will be a lot cheaper and no shipping charges.
