HELP! Need help on market pricing for this EVO

Hey everyone i came across a good deal on an EVO 9 MR, here are the specs
2006 EVO 9 MR
26K miles
Bone Stock!

Only problem is, It is a theft recovery and may come back salvage title, If it does come back a salvage title what would it be worth?

I always have this rule of thumb $5,000 off market value for rebuilt titles.

NADA says 30-40% for reconstructed titles.

Offer em 15,000 and see what they say. I wouldn't pay over 20 for sure. I got mine for 22,5 with no salvaged title, lower miles but not completely stock.

Same here. Idk that I can mess with a salvage. I guess if you are going to track that car then w/e but if you intend to sell....the extra $$$ for a clean title is worth it.

if you plan on keep it and not selling it then salvage is cool but if your just using it a a stepping stone its going to be very very hard to sell and people will be lowballing you as its salvage.

Does salvage title have car insurance implications? I wouldn't want a $15k+ vehicle without full coverage. Nobody would be able to buy it on a bank loan without full coverage, either.

I had a friend who has his Z28 stolen joyrided, it only needed a 2 rear tires and column. The insurance company paid for the repairs (we insisted that he let it go, but he didn't listen. IMO the insurance company suckered him) The first time he raced it after that the motor spun a bearing. He was SOL.

yes you have to get salvaged insurance. From one of the other insurance company it will be cheaper of course but there is insurance. As i know NO major bank is going to give you a loan on a salvaged car period. There are some special banks that will but im talking about your major common banks. No worth it to buy a salvage car then try to sell it for a profit to many clean titled cars you can buy for the price you are probally wanting to sell it for

That sounds fishy IMO. Not saying it isnt true but that price is way low. I ran into a ton of scams on Autotrader and craigslist when I was looking for mine. They always seem to price their stuff 6k under KBB.
