Hey guys, I was just curious to how long it took you to decide on the evo you purchased, I'm kind of in a jam at the moment with my evo hunt. I'm just waiting for the right one to come along lol hope it doesn't take me forever. Did anyone wait months upon months to find that perfect evo?

yup waited from 05 till 07 to get my 9 lol first it was because i wanted the 9 then financial issues when the 9 came out kept it out of reach

 

I never wanted an Evo, I was actually looking at a new STI..

But I stopped by a BMW dealership that some friends are and they had a used Evo with 64K for cheap. I drove it and loves the way it drives compared to the STI.

So, I guess I waited a day!

 

I bought the first evo I went to go look at. I drove it and fell in love with it. It took me about a week to get my finances in order and I drove home in it.

 

I was casually browsing on EvoM looking at the private cars for sale in October 2007, I was planning on waiting until spring 2008, but I came across what seemed like the perfect Evo for me in Michigan from a female owner with only 10k miles on it. Long story short I quickly sold my S2000 rather than putting it away for winter storage and took the road-trip to get my IX in November 2007!

 

Wow nice stories, so how far would you travel for the car? I just don't want to get there find out it's a p.o.s and have a whole trip ruined lol

 

I searched all summer in 2007. Finally, one came up locally that was stock and it was an MR which I wanted. Bought it the next day

i was frequent to the dealership that i bought mine from! they always had a lot of cool cars i had test drove previously a supercharged mustang a twin turbo porshe an audi Rs4 and a few other super nice cars! one day i went in to look at a show STI they had and sitting next to it was my evo... 20000 miles bone stock PERFECT condition! i sat in the seat and said i could get used to this! the dealer came by and said want to take it for a text drive i said absolutely... he said well get in the passenger seat and he proceeded to drive because there insurance wouldnt let anyone but them drive it... we went around the block and a turbod prelude pulled up next to it poppin off and we raced it, obviously killed it, and i said..... ILL TAKE IT.... so it took me all of 15 minutes.... i wasnt even looking to buy a car that day!! drove it home about an hour later
