Salvaged Title @ 18,000 = regretful decision.

Check the for sale forum, and dont even give me that crap that you are considering it because you need a car right away.

Rent a car for crying out loud or better yet, buy a 1000 dollar beater, drive it for a while until you find a good price and deal on an evo and then go for it at 17K. Then you'll have a bad *** (non salvaged) evo and a beater winter driver for the same price.

PS - IX evo's dont need to be recirculated, so its all good!

How's there a 6th gear? And it's not worth it.. I owned a BMW 5 series with "minor damage" salvage title... It wasn't until a couple thousand until the car was running fine... Stay away, your best off finding another buy... Try eBay or Cars

I'm guessing the Evo 8 lights and carbon fiber trunk are due to a read end incident? I'm sticking my neck out and guessing but that could be what's going on. He got hit or hit something and replaced it with the carbon trunk and cheaper lights!

Seeing other posts about salvaged, I would guess this COULD be the case!

You just have to be extra careful when buying salvage. I have bought a couple cars in the past that were salvage but the sellers had detailed pictures and documentation of the damage and repairs.
Do you know anyone that works at a body shop that could take a look at it because those guys can usually tell when frame repair has been done. Even when they stretch a car back out, it will retain evidence of previous damage.

stay away from this.. i've seen it for sale for a long long time. There's something about it that doesn't seem right. And there are deals, you just need to look for them and be willing to travel. I've seen evo 9's for sale with that same price in prestine condition for around that same price. Just my .02
