Looks clean but it's salvage titled. Stay away. The car won't be worth crap.

Edit: Checked the EBAY listing car is at reserve not met at 11,800. No way for a salvage titled car unless

1. You are going to keep it forever and never plan on selling it
2. Its gonna be a dedicated track car

and does a slavage title mean it was totaled and someone fixed it or it could be a minor accident

Salvage means the insurance company wrote the car off as a total loss, the car was then rebuilt and titled as such. Making the cars value worth poo.

I wouldn't pay more then 10k for that car. And at that I do some serious inspecting.

Call that company tell them they are crooks trying to make that kind of money. Pass it up

Salvage title means there was enough damage to consider the car a total loss as far as insurance is concerned.

I've seen cars with very little damage and salvage titles, but I've also seen some pretty wrecked ones.

Take a VERY close look at the car, and ask for pre-repair pictures.

I understand your predicament but don't be foolish. Check the for sale section here, autotrader.com, and cars.com there is bound to be a decent car in your area

Have you test driven the car with the HKS SSQ on it?, And what with the little holes on the bumper? It looks good though.

I picked up a IX with 29k miles for 21k. That was a year ago so I'd say 20k is very possible for a low mileage IX. I'd really recommend widening your search radius. If you don't mind driving a little, you can find some great deals. Plus that long drive home will be a blast

My grandpa used to say, "Don't buy someone else's misery". That's what this car is. That is why they are getting rid of it. Is it just me, or does it look like it is leaning to the right on the first picture? If the frame was twisted or damaged, I promise you, it will NEVER EVER handle like it should. If it was me, I would walk, no RUN away from this car.

Try looking at craigslist. I am always looking to see what I can find for my VIII and all the time, I come across low mileage 8's and 9's for decent prices.

I know you want a car asap, but just remember, this is an Evo. Do you REALLY want to jump the gun just to have one? I promise you, you will find problems with this car AFTER you buy it. Just like when I bought my V10 pickup. Salvage title, looked good, passed all inspections. There was an issue with the rear axle, it wore the outside of the left tire and the inside of the right tire. Can't do that with a solid rear axle without some serious damage. Didn't find out until I had to buy tires 2,000 miles later.

We are all adults here, but do yourself a favor and take our advice. Be patient, and wait for the right one, not the closest, easiest one. If not, then good luck with the car, I really hope that it is a good investment for you; and if not, then you'll never hear an "I told you so" from me. Cheers bud -stuie
