The reason why you should not run VTA is because your car has a MAF. If you run VTA you car bov will blow off valve that the maf is telling your ecu that is accounted for, which will jack up your air/fuel ratios. You will run rich in between shifts. I run a VTA set up on my IX on MAF, but I plan to switch back. Driveability is so much better when you recirc. If you do not want to recir, then convert your ecu to speed density and get rid of the stock maf.

^^^^^exactly it all comes down to the maf that's why turbo honda's and the srt4 can always run VTA....when you run speed density you can have a IC pipe blow off and run just the motor but with a MAF it'll barely run. SD isn't work just being able to run VTA....I have a VTA BOV recirc'd but i didn't really notice a difference...the My car still richens up between shifts.

When I ran my stock IX bov recirc it was fine. I use the Tial now and im rich in between shifts. I dont have an air/fuel gauge in it right now, but I can smell it. Also at idle the rpms will drop pretty low then jump back up to 1k. Once I change my uicp I am most def recirculating until I convert to SD

I'm running VTA as well on MAF...,no major issues, some jerking when letting off throttle in 4th gear (only when letting off lightly, if fully cut, there are no issues). I love the swoosh

Oddly enough a lot of heads on this site claim the swoosh is riced out

Not sure how a forum full of import cars with 10 inch wings and coffee can exhaust tips are claiming a swoosh is riced out, but what ever

Yeah your running SD shouldn't have a problem running VTA.

also i do have a question of sorts, Ok if your running the HKS Recirc'd W/ MAF, I don't understand why it would matter yea that air is going back into the intake buuuuut it's coming in after the maf so how is the MAF supposed to read air that isn't going through it to cool it down?
