Back in summer of 03 there was a guy (that was a bit dorky in HS) bought a Yellow one with the signing bonus he got to join one of the armed forces along with money his grandparents left him. He wrecked it, fixed it then wrapped it around a phone pole. The first one i saw was his wrecked one.

 

Came back from iraq in 03 and whent home to visit my fam and my dad had a silver one in the driveway. I was making fun of the 4 door lancer. We whent out for a drive and i almost crap my pants. He bought it new in Puerto Rico and it had a GT35 and HKS cams and NOS a month after he got it. She had about 460whp back then......... I was hooked.

 

The first Evo that I saw in person was Rhys Millen's rally-spec Evo VII, which he was drifting at the Drift Showoff, some time in late 2002/early 2003. It was good stuff.

Before that, the first Evo I had ever seen in any capacity was in that movie Who Am I with Jackie Chan.

 

first evo I saw/felt/touched was a french blue evo 7 RS2, my girlfirend at the time had it, I took a ride in it and it was AMAZING and I also said to myself one day I will own one... funny how that same evo 7 is now owned by a really good friend, and I am modding that car so I get to drive it everywhere (girlfriend at the time would not let me drive the thing )

 

I really fell for the VW GLI in electric blue, car looked sporty and practical. nothing crazy like those lame fast and furious cars lol came down to signing for an 05 but something stopped me.... don't know how to explain it but I went on to read the comments of people who owned the car and it only got a 65% when it came down to recommendation. 2 low for me, saw an GG 05 MR and just stared at it at the red light lmao ppl behind me where honking for me 2 get going! since that I swore I wouldn't die without owning 1

 

a guy from my highschool had one with the lancer wing in silver... been hooked ever since...

 

My friends charcoal gray 9 MR in high school a couple years back...it now has a 42r..hahaaaa

 

couple years ago when i was probbaly around 12, i saw a white on white wingless evo with carbon fiber trunk and trunk lip. that i believe was the day i fell in love with the evo... wingless ones too haha

 

So a "couple years ago" you were "around 12" but you have an Evo VIII in your possession? How old are you?

 

my first evo was I believe was an evo3. I owned 1g eclipse and my mechanic had them in his shop he used them to rally race.

Lol okay well approx. 6 years ago. I really do not remember actually . I just know that's the moment i fell in love with wingless Evo's . I'm 18 now btw and still paying off my evo . Worth every penny

 

white evo III RS in 1998 although I new alot about them from my Mitsubishi Mechanic father I had never seen one in person till then and I feel in love.. a couple years and a few evo's later I had a III RS. loved it =)
