For me, it was a blue Evo 8, brand new, that had pulled into the electronics shop i worked at. Some huge dork was driving it. I had a DSM at the time, and had heard about evos, I remember a bunch of us just went out there and stared at it.

Believe it or not the first EVO I saw was an EVO VIII in December 2003 in the Dominican Republic on vacation. It was Orange. I loved the color but could never find that color here in the states. It was probably for a showcase that day anyway.

 

Never knew about the evo till fast and the furious. That the first time I saw one and wanted one

 

first one i saw was a yellow evo 8 when they first came out. it was a 60ish year old guy driving it in the little town i grew up in, lexington, ohio where mid-ohio race track is (its a 2.4 mile road course for those that dont know). it was a nice car. i was 16 at the time.

The first Evo I saw was a yellow Evo 8, and at the time, I thought it was hideous. I still don't like the looks of the 8, in stock form at least. That's why I'm building my favorite Evo, the Tommi Mak.

 

i always saw them, but really never knew what they were, then i met a canyon buddy with an EB 05 and was in complete awe of wat he made that car do and how amazing it looked

 

1st one... dont remember. most memorable one... I had my old gti (built motor 6speed swap, gt3076r) i had just parted the car back to stock and was having a hard time selling it. really just wanted an evo (i slept with a print out of an evo pic for the last 3 years). driving home, kind of in the dumps about having a 150hp car that sucked. saw a gg evo 9 mr with a smoking hot chick passenger. i knew then and there i HAD to have one. 70hour weeks, a few months later. gg9mr.

First time I heard about evos was on 2 fast 2 furious but the first time I saw one in person was back in 03/04 my senior year it was an 03 tb evo
