unfortunately i cant afford a bigger turbo or a nicer turbo kit so im stuck with the options of porting out my stock evo 8 turbo or possibly purchasing an evo 9 turbo. what would you think is the best option and why. im pretty knowledgeable about cars but im always up for learning more, so let me hear what you guys think. thanks

p.s. yes i know the hotside on the 8 is 9.8 vs 10.5 on the 9

The evo 9 turbo is still bigger than the 8 turbo though. Blade wise not hotside

 

i appreciate the heads up. how much more beneficial is the 9 turbo in your opinion vs a ported 8?

 

both not worth it and you should buy a 9 turbo then send it to fp for 898+125(80mm housing) and upgrade it to the hta green at the very least. Then you will be happy

 

Or save the $1200 and search the classified section! I sold a mint condition red for $1200 not too long ago.
