I have been in close contact with evo 8 and 9's for the last two years and I have resisted getting one even when great deals came my way. Until this December when I went skiing in North Carolina and drove this chicks fwd suv in the snow and made the decesion at that moment to get an evo.

So now I am determined to get a stock evo 9, When I mean stock I mean virgin. I want tdaily it for a couple years put a good 50K miles on it and then turn it into my next auto crosser.

I currently auto cross a boosted IS300 and after working on evo's and resisting temptation its finally time to do it.

SO here I am pertending like I am going to keep it stock but yet searching around looking for aggresive offsets, intake manifolds, and sheppard trans.

 

so I am not a post ***** or anything like that but I have posted on several different topics and have subscribed to like 8 or 10 interesting threads but for some reason my post count still stays the same.... I dont get it.

 

You won't be dissapointed if you go with a IX , I myself had a '05 IS300 which I had plans of throwing in a GTE block and upgraded turbo . But after riding in my friends Evo IX MR that had cams/meth/ fp red I was set on getting an evo and traded the Lexus 2 months later when I found a low mi. IX GSR that I couldn't resist .

 

Instead of the gte block I went with the full swap, v160 6spd, standalone and the car can not be daily driven any longer so thats why I am after a clean stock IX that I can daily drive until it turns into another modded money pit
