found a 05 evo rs in the for sale section but it has the recaros that are blue and black i could be wrong but i thought the blue and black recaros only came in the 03's... can someone clarify please?

nope they came in ALL evo 8 unless the car had the leather package..

 

My 05 has them too.. Actually like them, quite grippy.
