everytime i let off the gas and press on the brake my rpm range bounces below 1grand.. almost like it wants to die out.. i dont know what the prob is...
i changed out my throttle response sensor... i dont know what else to do...help

 

check to see if u got any air leak/vac leaks first

 

yeah for sure check for vac leaks. Just do a boost leak test and you will see what ever leaks you have in your system. The brake booster runs off of vacuum and when you let of the gas and use the break its losing lots and lots of vacuum to use the breaks and the engine is dieing out because of it.

 

could it be because i have a hks bov, ive heard that bov's dont work good on evo VIII's

 

Yes that BOV just like any VTA piece is crap on a MAF equipped car.
