A ton of comparative information on the two my friend. The differences are more than one should post in a topic. Between engine, weight, styling and transmission there are a world of differences. After you read about them both..in thend it's which you prefer. Good luck man.

Well this really depends on what you are looking for. They are really two different beasts in my opinion. The Evo Ix is more of a race ready car that takes mild bolt on's very extremely. You can easily get to 350 whp with bolt on's for a Evo Ix. Thre IX is nice for a daily driven car but I believe the Evo X may be the better DD car. The X also takes mods relatively good but I dont think it is quite as agressive as the IX. It's all in what you are looking for buddy!

Heh, the X is more aggressive to bolt-on mods than the IX ever thought of being. Just a tune alone is good for 60-80whp. Add on a TBE, Intake, UICP, you're looking at a good 110whp.

Either way, you can't lose with either car. The IX isn't as refined in the interior and handling (but a lot of people like that). And the X doesn't have the slap you in the face power hit, it's still just as powerful but a lot more smooth (some people don't like that).

The X is an amazing track car, if you don't believe me look at Ryan Gates. Both cars are great, just depends how you want to use it.

Test drive both and pick from after that, you might not like the IX like others do. I own a X now and there are things that I like over the VIII & IX's. The x is more up to date IMO, the VIII & IX's are not. The handling is also different in the X, like I said drive both before you make a decision.

the ix is great but do you really want a used turbo car? the x handles great, but if straight line is your thing, get a ix

Evo IX SE. So much has been done with the platform. Last 4G63 - an engine with over 13 years of racing heritage and tried and true performance.

IMO, if you're looking for stock comfort creatures - pick an Evo X. The 4B11 is too new and recently light has been shed on piston failures even in stock form.

Both cars are a piece of cake to modify compared to the M3.

And coming from the M3, I would get the X. A IX may not satisfy all the creature comfort desires you have built up with a DD, but the X certainly can.
