I know that ebay parts arent the best and you get what you pay for, but is a 3 inch ebay intercooler better than the stock one? If so anything noticeable... I found a used ebay intercooler from a friend for 50 bucks thats why im asking... thanks guys

 

I had one on my VIII and it worked fine.

I have also wondered how it performs compared to the stock intercooler. Lots of people will say that the name brand intercoolers are better than the OEM unit, but I haven't seen a thread that tests the eBay vs. OEM.

 

So in summary the intercooler with 2 more psi boost made 10 less whp than our Race FMIC at that is at big HP levels. The problem is the intercooler is NOT EFFICIENT AT REMOVING HEAT. Which is what it is there for. I am betting the stock FMIC is not much worse than this. An increase of 59.4 degrees is absolutely HUGE in a single gear pull. On a summer day or road race/autocross situation this intercooler would absolutely SUCK.

This is what Buschur said after testing the intercooler. Don't buy one!

he would be correct above dont waste your money on ebay intercooler does not remove head and thats the whole purpose of the intercooler LOL save you money and get a quality unit

All i can add to this is the fact that I went 11.8's@119on a stock evo 8 turbo with a 10.5 hotside with an ebay 3.5 in core so take as you may but it worked fine for me and that was 32psi as well.
