EVO 8 owner introduction

Hi, EVO fanatics!

My name is Eugene, 25 years old and i’m from The Netherlands. Since last november I am the proud owner of a 2003 Evo 8. The car was stock, except for an ECUTEK flash.

It was imported from the US in 11-2004, and the first owner received it on 02-2005 from the Dutch dealership with just 400miles on it. Since then he did his best, because the car has done 95.000miles at the moment. Full service history is included, all done at the same dealership.

My former cars were all Volvo’s (up to 350bhp, so not slow), but this is a whole other piece of machinery! Unbelievable, never thought a bone stock car could be this good!

But soon it got time to go do some tuning. Already noticed the brakes are no good, dispite 320mm disks and Brembo 4pots. Mounted better pads, brakelines and fluid and that really made a change.

Performance wise it is wasn't as fast as my Volvo in a straight line, but with simple Stage 1 mods (Walbro, 3”turboback, panel filter, 3port BCS, ecuflash) it now is.

Suspension is now BC racing ER coilovers.

Also bought a nice set of 18" motorsport wheels, and some other small modifications.

The car is mainly used as a trackcar, intirior is stripped and have a rollcage ready for install.

Future mods, ready for install: Carbonetic twin plate clutch, Evo 9 turbo and HKS 264 cams.

I have been reading here for quite some time now, but it's about time to introduce myself

And now, some pictures:

Very nice, clean car you have over seas there!

Keep up with proper maintenance and you will have this as long as you want and then focus on adding more 'fun' parts and tuning it.

p.s. SICK track pictures! That looks a lot like Nurburgring, is it?
