I personally have a Megan exhaust and love it. Greddy Ti-C is another great exhaust. AMS makes a great one, there are a ton man....
Sweet i got a boost controller.
What if i wanted to go all 3' piping but still have a stock looking exhaust (muffler) but not sacrifice performance? Cops over here are strict. I already got two exhaust tickets and i just have a cat back and i drive low speed. I don't want to deal with getting pulled over!
Ok so this is a funny question but how can i tell if i have a after market fuel pump?
Thanks for the feedback!!

did you get a ticket for the exhaust being big and shiny or because of noise??? there is nothing you can do about the noise. some systems come with silencers but that just kills the performance and u may as well be stock. megan makes a flat black system that sounds great but looks real stealth. only way to know if you have an aftermarket pump is to pull it and see. some say they can hear the whine of the walbro but i've never heard mine...

The best mod you could ever do before you do any of the things you have listed is the DRIVER MOD. learn to drive the car to it's limits before you start raising those limits. If you can't take advantage of the car's capabilities the way it sits, you'll never know if the things you've done are making the car better or worse. Driven correctly, the EVO will oversteer in stock form with no problems.

As for the mods you had listed, all of them sound good except for the tires, and maybe the coilovers. I'd go with Z1 star specs or Nitto NT05's. All i run are the NT05's and they are the best tire i've ever driven on. I'm on my 3rd set now, and love'em. As for the coilovers, KW V3's are good from what i've heard, Megan coilovers aren't bad either. Buddy Club racing specs are also a good option. That's what I'm running now. Good luck with the modding.

Also, if you get coilovers, make sure you get them setup right. Get them corner balanced, and get a good alignment. Otherwise, they're useless.

I got the ticket for it being shiny but the funny thing about that is i had just painted my exhaust mate black. I saw a evo with stock looking exhaust and it sounded evil. Rally looking exhaust!! lol As for the fuel pump i can hear it. But i will look! thanks

+1

I cannot stress this enough.

Your taking a very good mod path.. Everything your doing sounds good, one recomendation i have is when u start modding the suspension, do ONE THING AT A TIME.. Minor suspensions mods like sway bars, alignments, really good tires, make a huge difference in the handling of the car, its almost scary at first haha. take some time canyon running safely of course, until u get the hang of it, and do something else suspension wise. I've been having fun with my steering wheel for 3 years now and am FINALLY doing the very last thing, coilovers.

I respect your opinion and I believe warranty is sketchy investment. But its all about customer service, Ive had my front passenger strut replaced! 5 bill$ I paid $100 deductible that came with alignment! My left strut went too, and my tranny is getting a overhaul plus they are putting in a new clutch, which i need. I purchased the clutch but no labor fee. They will also change my oil/filter ( not because of warranty, but customer service, well they should!) and of course another alignment. I will be paying $75 bucks! This is just my luck.....I dont want too brag but I had a different experience! But if I do add the wrong mods I will have problems with warranty, but my mods dont seem to drastic. Thanks for your opinion!

I believe I have learned the car and its limits so thats why I will be making only minor mods, but I also understand I can drastically change my car so I will be very patient with my mods. Ive learned to drift the IX a bit in certain turns( thanks to practice in BIG BEAR, I really love the snow with this car, wow) but I want to grip so ill just play with tires. I will be getting Dunlop z1 Star Spec.....what size should I get for stock wheel.

Thank you very much for your help!!!! I'm not just a random dude that goes up and thinks he can drive, actually all I know how to do is drive, thats why I come to you fellas so i can get some tuning help. Ive been going to my canyon for 5 years and still learning alot. Starting with a stock DEL SOL( funnest car ever in canyon) then to a EG, then a little drift practice in a 240. I go up to compete against my car, not anyone else and its a indescribable rush, I always run my pace. I used to run with others but everyone crashes now and I'm not kool with that. lol But at the same time there are people who crashed and people who are going to crash lol. you can never predict what can happen up there!

WORKS Stealth, they mod your stock muffler & cat to fit their 3'' downpipe and B pipe. Performance, but looks bone stock. You don't need a Walbro pump untill you go with cams, IC pipes don't make anything (other than a LICP.)
Man. boost control is a recipe for diaster, I'd stay away or be very carefull with it. High flow air filter is a must, WORKS or K&N.
WORKS 303 kit is just a 3" catback exhaust, high flow air filter, bored out & rebuilt TB, and a mail in tune. A note here, check for boost leaks... at shaft seals of TB, IC hose connections.
A good tune is manditory to get gains from any engine mods!
Hotchkiss rear adj. bar and I'd stick with stock springs and OEM MR Bilsteins or go with Ohlins MacStruts for an upgrade.
Brakes, better pads, SS lines and bleed them often, replace stock fluid with perf. fluid if you are boiling it, regardless of which, flush at least yearly and bleed monthly. Stock MR undertray and lower arm deflector fins will help with brake cooling, Girodisc titanium pad shims are great, get a set! Pads, PF 97s, Pagid 4-2-1s or CL RC5+ are great for street, good pads cost $$'s.
Tires, I'm on Yoko AD08's and love 'em, Star Specs are bestt bang for the buck tho. Try an alignment with -2 front, -1 rear and 0 toe and experiment with your tire pressures (get a good tire gauge), you'll be amazed with what you can do with tire pressures and alignment - get a years free alignments at NTB!

Stage two would be a 3" downpipe, high flo cat, cams & springs, O2 housing, a Walbro 255 and of course another tune.
After stage two and if avail. in your area, you can make a ton more HP with a conversion to E85, just bigger injectors and another tune. Your mileage will go way down tho... no free lunch.

edit: Read this, great advice here! https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...g-dummies.html

I disagree 100% with this opinion. Hallman Pros are extremely reliable and safe. That's why 95% of evo drivers use them. MBC's are the standard and are very very very safe as long as u let the tuner adjust them with the tune and don't go cranking them up by yourself.

i remember when i had my first Touge run and ohh boi the rush was undescribable and three rounds later w/ a podium finish 1st place :] i relized that i love that over going in a straight line but there's no canyon's or mountain passes here in IL as for suspension mods all i had was Tanabe springs and they perform well but im looking now for a set of coilovers but iono witch one's =\
