I'm new on thi Forum. I'm 20 years old and 5 months ago I sold my Subaru Impreza GT and now I'd like to buy a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX ( Stock ). I have some questions to ask you :

I heard people talking about the Evo IX gears saying that between the 2nd and 3th gear you can hear a strange sound from syncros and if tune the car ( 330hp, 360hp ) Gears dont support so much power and it will be broken. This gears problem doesnt exist with the Mitsubishi Evo 8. Is everything true ???? I hope you can help me

The 6 speed has some problems with 4th gear when u start making like 350ft/lbs but 2 to 3 is generally pretty robust and 1 to 2 I get a noise if I let the clutch out too fast its the rear differential clunking generally its not a huge deal

 

So anyway ...If I make a good tuning to reach 360hp, I'll get no problem at gears right ?

 

U shouldn't if u get the 5 speed unsure which models are available in switzerland
