ive ran. some falken azenis on the car year around. they are great in the summer. but not good if you drag race. the side walls are too stiff and thats not good if you like to launch the car, and the compound is not soft. in the winters. i have 245-45 and i have had 255-40 without issues. the wider ones look better. good luck

255/40 is closest to stock but 245/40 will make you faster if you only have a few mods

255/40 is the best size. if you're lowered and try to run 245/45's and you take a turn too aggressively without your suspension set stiff enough, say goodbye to your fender lining...i know lol

also, 245/45 is too tall. 255/40 is pretty much perfect. no rubbing, no nothing.

Just had 255/40 put on in replacement of my 245/45. There both RE01's so its a good comparison. I am definately happier with the way it feels when I push it in a turn. Turn in response is a tad less responsive but worth the stability. Car definatelty feels more stable and handles better. You can feel the suspension working harder and acceleration is a hair slower but nothing for me to regret it. I would go with a

turn in should be better with the 255/40 over the 245/45 because the sidewall is shorter and stiffer. 245/45 will roll over before a 255/40 will. 255 is stiffer, and therefore gives better turn in.

That's not correct, wider tires are heavier (rotating mass) especially on a 255
If I am not mistaken a 235/40 would be the fastest turn in ratio fori the OEM wheels
Once you go this wide weight starts to play a factor. I had both sizes and others agree that 255/40 are less responsive than 245/45.
