I was looking under my hood just checking S### out, when i came across this. I just bought my evo and am new to the world of turbo's.

 

Stock boost control solenoid.

 

Thanks man. Sorry to sound like a noob, but what is it for? Why are there 2 blue caps on the end? Is something suppose to be attached?

 

I'm guessing that there is a manual boost controller somewhere. They capped the ends as not to have a boost leak....or at least that is what i was told. When I got my 08 GSR the person before had done that...I have since gone back to stock boost control....I didn't want the hassle of any boost spikes.
