Make me faster!!
Hey I have a 2003 evo 8. Black. So far I have a ssqv and a cone filter. Not an intake just the filter. I am spiking 13psi and holding 12! I am asking for ideas to make my evo faster! I would prefer bolt on! People have told me about stock turbos with only bolt on parts doing 350 whp. Please help thanks!!
Get that pos BOV off your car and get a evo 9 stocker, change your spark plugs (your BOV prolly caused these to gunk up) and put an intake and a turbo back exhuaust. The get a nice flash and youll be happy as can be.
1. go to the noob section and read. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...faqs-forum-61/
2. you sure you're only hitting 13 psi? if so, you have a leak, or an improperly working boost gauge.
3. lose the ssqv. you dont need it, and its only hurting your cars drivability
4. yes its entirely possible and pretty easy to hit 350whp on bolt ons and stock turbo.

you dont need an intake. your filter and adapter are fine for your goals. you wont be running a speed density setup so dont bother with anything beyond this.

Second, lose that POS BOV and put on an Evo IX diverter. I'm sure you'll miss the whoosh noises but, your car will thank you.
Third, spend some time reading through the forum. You've got a lot to learn about your car. Most of it has been discussed already. There is tons of good info on how to make your car more powerful you've just got to look for it. In your case it sounds like just getting it running right will be a significant improvement.
