You could definitely use an 18" wiper as far as I'm concerned. It is only another 1/2" on either side of the rear windshield. I know mine does not come close to cover the entire window being a 17".

Bosch was horrible on my accord. Haven't tried them on my Evo, but i'm runnin Rain X on mine. They work fairly well.
