the price seem reasonable for just basic bolt on and that low of a mileage. But i will pull the price down as much as possible

I don't think you can negotiate very well when you already put down a deposit. Looks in good shape, but price seems high imho.

agreed you have not even driven the car yet. what if it has a whining tcase or poor braking. Or car is breaking up. tune needs to be checked and engine. compression test leakdown test all needs to be done. Could have slipping clutch or turbo with shaft play. Remember most dealers are trying preforming smoke and mirrors so dont go in there excited then they know they got you.

Make sure you check everything. I bought an Evo just last month and it was great when I got it. Now its torn apart in the garage because the clutch went out in less then 1k miles since I got it.

I suggest shopping around. Check the regional for sale forums, autotrader, etc.. Not to say that isnt a great find, it may very well be. But a little patience will go a long way in finding the absolute best Evo for your $.

P.S. Make sure you use the peeling clear coat on the Brembos as a bargaining point. Its hard to get those replaced under warranty.

Thanks so much guys! appreciate everything...^ya ive searched so much on autotrader and cars.com and on here..its like the only one with the miles i want, not 800whp, and not riced out lol! so we will see just driving 3+ hours to look at it and if its not nice i can get the deposit/hold on the car back. again thanks sooo much for your insight, now does anyone know if they would acually do the comp test? that might be over the top im sure driving it and checking idle ect. will be fine but would a dealer acually do that? or let me haha

I have seen people at rallys check compression between stages. So its entirely possible that the dealer could have their service department do it on the spot. But they are not likely to let YOU do it unless you have signed the papers making it your car

identical to my car lol, i would try to beat them down on price if there isnt a cat be like i need to put a cat on it blah blah blah, try to find as much stuff wrong to use as a bargaining point and dont act excited at all they will use that, its all a game they have it setup that they will act differently toward different buyers, I'd ask for the invoice of what they bought the car for if it was traded in they probably got it for cheap so you might be paying $4k over what they bought it for I've done this plenty of times and told them i wont buy it unless they show me the invoice for what they bought it for to make sure its a fair price and also ask for the phone number of the original owner to ask him questions they might say its confidential but thats a lie ive made them give it to me lol

car fax, have them take it to a mitsu dealership to get it checked out, that's what i did with mine and they put new brakes on it, everything else checked out.

It also doesn't have the MR BBS' im sure you could talk them down on that point as well.
