buying a evo 8 :) but worried:(

Hello, im thinking of buying a evo8 soon, i searched this forum about the evo's up's and downs and alot of you guys have/had problem with their transfer case. Im not planning on launching the car, if lets say i do 40 rolls only should i be worried about my TC? when i get the evo im going to do a fp set up not sure if its gonna be green/red/black but i wanna get some in-puts if the TC will hold up 450-500whp dooing 40 rolls

How your T case is gonna stand up depends on the care the previous owner drove the car.

For your power goals Id say send it to Buschur, TRE or Shep for a simple reshim and that should be good enough for what you want.

Well at 60k your supposed to change out the Timing belt and I believe the water pump and oil pump and if its not required its still a good idea.

Save you the trouble of having to do/pay for the labor down the road when it fails.

the t-case should hold 450-500 @ 40mph rolls with no issues. The reason most people have issues with their t-cases is because they launch them too hard. If you want more specific info call jon at teamrip.com he is extremely knowledgeable.
