thanks man, I love to hear that. Don't know tons about cars and mechanics, but I researched every part (except the custom ones lol) after my tuner recommended them.
The guy thats tuning the car is real cool, his name is Cortney Green, check out a link to his civic http://www.streetfire.net/video/cort...joy_131093.htm
he mainly tunes hondas, but he's tuned a few evos as well. He came highly recommended. anyway I will definitely post my shock and awe and a few pics once I get it back (probably about a week).

friend of Cortney's showed me some pics today of may car. Turbo, manifold are in, IC is in, but the piping isn't attached yet..wish I had those pics to show you guys, I am dreaming of 11's here in 4500+ altitude land.
just wanted to post some updates, I think they will be very useful to people who have never done a non bolt-on type of upgrade.
so the car came back a little different than I expected. It was running sunoco 110 standard, no cat totally illegal
Cortney used a little smaller turbo, but still a nice billet PTE. LAG! Serious boost STILL didn't kick in till around 6k (he raised the limiter to 8k). He said he had me on 25psi, but I'm wondering if it wasn't higher (see below). The car was fun, and would scare the **** out of anyone I passed on the hwy. There was no intake filter. Just direct sucking in air from the turbo, and loud as HELL. Probably not safe year round, Cort's building me an intake now, but no room, so has to have way bent piping
(this is not on the car yet).
Anyway, as it got cooler, like starting in september, it got hard to start def. race gas, maybe the tune a little bit. It still ran great once warm though. All the time I had it running 110 it was a DOG below 4krpm. I believe Cort had it set up so it ran stock tune up until 4k so it was SLOW (turbo would just be barely spooling at like "0" bar around 4k. But no fault to him, I asked him to make it super safe, and letting the stock tune run until then seems to make sense to me (although I know very little about cars, and that may not have been what he did, anyway, it did run ****-slow before 4k)
About 3 weeks ago I went down to 91 octane (I'm in SLC) and man, what a difference. yeah, I'm only running 17psi now (!!!) but it's fast and responsive now. pretty much like stock in the below 4k (not quite, maybe at .5bar at 4.5k), starts perfect, etc. Except for on the hwy -- It's not quite as scary but I will tell you the boost gage still hits 1.5 bar (the max) or whatever. It's definitely way faster (THAN STOCK) on the hwy (like from a 3rd gear run).
I can't launch cause I still have the stock clutch, so the Neons and me get along for the moment
. I have to say I'm pretty happy with what I've had done. It cost me about 9k all said and done. I'm hoping to get tuned up to about 20-21psi when I go back to get the filter and like 120deg of bends put on. That's gonna suck, but I think the extra 3-4 psi will make up for it.
Anyway, I'm fairly quick now, especially on the hwy. I'm not legal in any sense of the imagination, and I'd have to have someone just pass me to get a sticker, I mean I'd have no chance in hell. So if you can put up with all of that...well go for it. a 35k car is a lot to spend on something that's not quite street legal. Then again I could have paid 7k for a honda and got about the same straight line performance (7k+ the 9k I paid for parts/fab/install/tuning) and kept my evo stock and able to pass emissions. I'm not saying I can't pass, but I'd have to go see a mechanic before I did, to replace parts and retune the engine.
Mods like this will change your car a lot. Get ready to start racing people on the hwy/track (if you are in to that or whatever), cause it will be too dangerous to do stoplight **** on the street. You'd be way to loud and even second gear disappears in like a second.
I'm happy with what I did, but if you are coming from N/A cars, or big engine cars, or anything like that, keep in mind driving 2l with a big turbo is a lot different.

another update...
car is finally running good on 91, Cortney has it on about 21lbs, had to reduce sensitivity of knock sensor. But I've been running like that for about a month now and it's fine.
Still don't have any kind of intake filter. It's okay, oil get super dirty.
Anyway, it's pretty sweet right now, and other than the not street legal thing, it's what I've always wanted, pretty much faster than anything stock.
Got 1 yr left on my inspection so that's good.

Sounds like you're having fun with it but if you want that motor and turbo to last as long as it can put on an AIR FILTER. Even if it's a cheapy from autozone or something. I could see having none at the track but you would be surprised what your motor sucks in after a couple days, plus the turbo is literally being a vacuum and sucking in anything it can that's in front of it. Your turbo and engine will thank you when you have one, so will your wallet
