New to the Evo but not to mitsubishi
You wont tell your tuner what PSI to run. You can but he will tune the car with what PSI the car can handle before it knocks. My tuner set up my two step, changed my redline, removed the speed limiter, raised the boost up to 23 on STOCK injectors, in which we successfully maxed out with zero knock.
Just be sure to tell your tuner what you expect out of the car, like what your goals are, and what you plan on doing with the car. Time trials, drag, etc.....
Also to, after the tune, dont go out and buy a part such as a boost controller and start changing the boost settings, you wil ruin your tune. What you need to do, is install all your parts, including a boost controller, three port i recommend. Then hit up the tuner, get tuned, and be done until you get another batch of mods, in which you will retune again. Cost money, but be smart on your parts, and what you do to the car.

X2 couldn't have said it better
Hey man, I live in Hampton too. Well, Langley haha. Hit me up if you want to go for a drive or meet up sometime. Wouldn't mind hanging out with another Evo owner without having to drive all the way to va beach.
Nice, I haven't seen yours around. The only other Evo I knew of on base was a guy that I work with. He has a red evo 8, lowered, carbon fiber hood and lots of mods; but yea we could do that sometime. I'm heading out of town in a few days for a few days but I'll be on the forums when I get back. We should see if there is anyone interested in the forums that's in the area would like to do a get together
I live off base with the wife, I'm in the 94th AMU. What squadron you in. I knew the guy who had that red evo before the current owner has it, he dogged the crap out of it. He ended up blowing the motor. The guy who owns it now races it but takes good care of it at the same time, his ride is quick. You got any pics of your car by chance, maybe I have seen it but just not familiarized with it.

Nice looking car, Actually I was over at the CSI building today, haha. I had to get my certificates published to the GAL, for some reason it wouldn't let me so I came to y'all. Do you park across the road cause I didn't see your car there by the building.
For Subie, I'm not too sure, but I would def. get the boost controller and have everything before you go get your ecu tune, then at that time I would get your boost set. The turbo currently runs at 21 psi I think, but with your mods it might have picked up a few more psi but not much though.
