No crash beam, you lose coverage.
Thats how it bites you.
Been there, done that, with a repaired CLK350 that we never put the beam on. Not only did the light accident bend the rear frame, but the insurance company didnt cover the repairs.

Be smart, modify the stock beam or buy a modded/custom one.

18.5K.. thats cheap, dirt cheap, for a 06 Mr.
Dont know what your complaining about.

its not an 03 evo 8 bud.

Yea apparently they will look for it from this guy's experience. Main reason those things are there, is to prevent 5mph crashes from costing a ton because of frame damage. Just a risk you take if something happens.

People have modified their old crashbeam, or if you PM me I can find the guy my friend bought a crashbeam that is certified for CA at least that will fit the jdm bumper. I'm sure he's on evoM but I don't know his name offhand.
