About to buy an Evo
If you do any kind of racing I would def stick with the 5speed. The biggest conversion you see on mr's with power is the 5speed swap same yourself time and lots of money go se
.Goodluck with your new evo
.I also have a 3 year old boy and he loves it when we take the evo and not the other car lol.

buy the 9 and spend just a few thousand on some nice small modifications on the evo and trust me, you will gain some nice reliable power out of the car....
if you drive spirited, your mind might change a bit on your favorite car... I had a fully built 98 cobra that I thought was amazing til I bought my evo and started ripping through turns and quickly understood what I had been missing.
once you start driving the evo and understand what the car can do, you will look at it from a very distinctive difference.

Hi all. My name is Jeff. I'm a cable guy residing here in North Carolina. I own two cars most of you probably consider rivalry -- an '01 Trans Am WS6 and an '04 Mustang GT. I love cars, particularly muscle cars. However, being that I am now married with a kid, it's time to look into investing into something easier to get the baby in and out of.
Let me start off by saying this: "Minivan" is not an option. So I have been weighing out the alternatives (stock Honda Civics, SUVs, and trucks). Then it hit me, I would really love to buy an Evo. One of my friends I met at work has one, and its one of the nicest cards under $40 grand I've been in. So the one I'm looking at is the '06 Evo IX MR -- because (sorry guys) the Evo X is hideous and too expensive.
I would love to own the car since they are nice and look good for a 4-door car. I want an excuse to buy another fast car, and I think the Evo IX would be a great compromise giving us both some more leg room as opposed to our 2 door muscle cars that suck gas like its going out of style. Plus theres the added fact that the Evolution is probably the only performance 4 cylinder aside from a Suburu I would even consider owning.
Any help or advice here is both welcomed and appreciated, since quite honestly I'm not really hip with the 4-cylinder scene. From what I've seen I'm looking at $20,000-25000 for a nice one stock
