Exclamation evo 9 launch control...

ok so ive had my evo 9 se for about 6 months...bought it used 48,000 miles and no problems. Recently i saw a thread that all evo 9's came with a stock launch control, so i tried it about 3 times in a bout a week, and now when im in 3rd gear and i step on the gas alot it revs up to like 5k and goes bak down to around 3k (it also does it in 4th and 5th gear) any suggestions on wat this might be?

Obviously a joke thread, but your clutch is slipping.

if the clutch was slipping it would just keep revving and the car not accelerate

If its just starting to slip it wouldn't keep revving and not move. It would accelerate once the clutch catches. Was happening in my friends bmw exactly like whats happening to you. New clutch and problem fixed. Could be wrong, but this exact thing happened to my friend and I was in the car to see it as well.

Oh, ok that makes more sense. Didn't really say that part in your first post. I'm not sure then.

warranty does not cover user wear and tear.

Clutch is a wear item and its on a car that's 4 years old. Basically HELL NO unless you have one of those second hand warranty and you can somehow BS your way into them replacing it.

Plus you just admitted on a forum that you practiced launching the car, now you expect someone else to pay for it. Come on now
