RRM and RPW are the only companies that make turbo kits for the lancer.

RRM has more sway with the lancer community here mainly because they do such a damn good job.

I think RRM is worth it. The kit has superb craftmanship, and superb performance. With RRM you get superb customer support, and that is hard to find these days. You can do what you want, but I've had my kit for a while and have had no major problems at all. You definitely won't regret going turbo.. Then your underhood will look something like this:

Theres another company called turbo discounters that have a kit for the 4G93. Our motor is a 4G94. I'm not sure who, but somebody tried it and the new downpipe was to short. Nothing a local muffler shop can't fix. Not sure how good it is but if you can find that guinee pig, you can get all the information. Price is alot lower than the big name company's, but the quality of the setup/ parts included probably reflect the price.

I didn't do it myself. I could have, but I wanted to make sure things were done correctly. If you plan to do this yourself, make sure you are 100% sure you are capable of doing the job beforehand. Call and talk to Rob, Gabe, or James so they can let you know what you are looking at. A lot of the problems people are having with RRM kits lately is trying to rush through the install and not following directions.

As far as the install goes, RRM has some great instructions, and if you are real good in the garage, you should be ok. Scariest part for me was drilling/tapping the oil pan. Like I said, jsut make sure you are 100% capable of doing the install yourself beforehand.

You can go to a shop and get it done for 600 or so. Maybe less if you know people. Hope this helps.
