Loud squeal from breaks
I have Hawk HP + on mine front and rear Light and heavy braking they have a loud squealing noise to them. if you get hawk street pads u should be ok, or you get used to it after a while.
The only part i hate is when people are looking at your car, and you have to slow down and they start squealing, people instantly atrribute squealing brakes to worn out brakes.

i have project mu pads and they are quiet low and m edium but aggressive braking has a squeal. I'm not upset because there is 0 brake dust. Squeal would be annoying at low-mid all the time though. that's just too much squealing. but a little squealing is ok. spray some brake quiet to pipe it down for a bit.
I'm sure someone already said it, but just pull the pads, grease the backs, and the squeal will stop. they sell some good stuff at the counter of advanced auto parts. comes in little packets for like 99 cents or something. brake grease.
Hey guys quick but probably easy question for you. I went and checked out an evo ix Mr and when breaking at low speeds and through turns the brakes made a loud squeal noise. When i asked the owner about this he said its normal for racing brakes to do that. Is that accurate or were the brakes not properly broken in? Anything that can be done about the squeal? Thanks. Edit realized I spelled "Brakes" wrong in the title....oops
I also got my squeal down a couple of weeks ago when I pulled my rotors off to turn them and that also helped get the dust outta there.
The guy selling it was pretty much right, all of these high performance stopping cars will squeal. I've never had any changes with brake lube like others have/will recommend. That just makes my brake work messier cleaning up that stuff after it turns black and sooty; high performance brakes that do not eat rotors alive require them to be "softer" therefore losing more pad material faster. That pad material makes noise. The less dust, the less noise.
Cleanliness is next to godliness
