Which spark plugs?

I hate to beat a dead horse but I did some searching around and didnt really find the answer for me. I am going to change my spark plugs and want to know which ones I should go with. I bought my evo with 40,000 miles and I am up to 60,000 and just figured I should change them out. I currently have NGK IGR7A-G plugs in it(they were in it when I bought the car) Its an 03 Evo 8 and my mods are as follows:

20G turbo
forge mbc at 24 psi
PTE 680cc injectors
walbro 255
GSC 268 cams
Buschur TBE
Megan 02 housing
HKS intake
AMS LICP
Muse UICP
Dynoflash mail in tune

I use ngk lfr6 iridiums, but I've never had problems from ngk.

The NGK iridiums are nice plugs, but a good few of the 8 owners just stick to the copper. You should be fine with those since you are only running 24psi.

If you don't want to be changing plugs out at every other oil change, then stick with the Iridiums. As for the copper plugs, given your state of tune I would go with a set of BR7ES plugs. The Iridiums come pregapped, but the BR7ES's, I would gap at .024".

I'm also pretty sure your referring to spark plugs for an evo 9 when he has an 8 and they aren't compatible.

You can use iridium plugs in a 8. Maybe not that exact model number, but many people do use them.

Hmm nice hot plug you have there. I believe the 8's run a 7 if I'm not mistaking. Don't know or care about the 9's as I don't have one.

I was just stating that the iridiums are a really good plug.

You will probably be fine with BPR7ES plugs since you are only running 24 psi...If you want to try some BPR8ES which are a step colder...

BR or BPR8ES. Cheap as hell and work great. Yeah, you should change them often, but at $10 for all 4, who cares?

Thanks everyone. Should I go with the 7's or the 8's? I see 2 different opinions there. I guess I could try both to see which works better for me since they are cheap, but any further opinions would be appriciated.

at only 24psi you will be fine with 7s. if you are going to an 8 I really like the br8eg and not the bpr8es. this plug allowed me to get away with a good amount more boost than about anything else but are a bit rough until they are warmed up.

I have run bpr7eix and igr7a both work quite well up to 30-35psi on e85.

Okay, so 10 years ago I had a 94 Supra Turbo and all the rave was to switch from the stock coppers to HKS iridium plugs. And now guys are switching from Iridium to copper? Whats the logic?
