Spark plugs do wear out. So, depending on the condition of the old plugs when replaced, new plugs may restore some horsepower.

Yes, especially if you are getting tuned, when you get tuned you should always throw in a new set of plugs.

+1...I think I'm about to throw my 5th set of plugs in when I get my new Turbo on and before my tune...I'm right at 54k miles...sucks IX plugs are so much more expensive compared to the VIIIs...

www.sparkplugs.com I think I pay around 50$ shipped for a set of IKH24's.

ILFR7H are 12.06 a plug there as well for those that run the stock IX plug.

Just make sure they are gapped properly and the proper heat range. You probably wont notice an increase in power as much as better drivability, easier startup, and a smoother running engine. looking forward to the results though!

This is definitely not necessary.

Your spark plug heat range with you amount of boost matters more.

One step colder with slight mods and two steps withbigger turbo and higher boost. More for detonation.
