EVO 8 = alot of people have great times, but no MIVEC

EVO 9 = MIVEC almost cost as much as a evo X

EVO X = MIVEC int and exh but they seem to have alot of issues still to work out. plus the cost

Get an VIII. MIVEC really isn't all that. Once you change the cams, MIVEC really shouldn't matter too much. Cheap, fun, and still fast.

Personally a 9 would be what I would get, followed by an 8 followed by the X.

I watch a local in a 9 RS hit 10.8's on the stock turbo...so yea.

Evo 8. The 8's Front-End looks nicer than the 9's Front. Plus less expensive.

I honestly like the look of the front of the IX better, but to each their own

considering you don't have much money to work with and are strictly looking for performance, I'd say find a cheap 8 and have more money left over for performance. Just find a base 8 with a 5 speed and nothing special.

The 5 speeds are better for drag by far. The evo 8 4th gear is ideal as well.
