While it's much safer to run your car rich than lean, if I'm not mistaken, I was under the impression that a car running so rich could have negative effects on the catalytic converter. I could be wrong on that though.

 

my 100% stock EVO X MR gets about 120-160 miles per tank in sport mode because she's so factory pig rich.
my other EVO 8 with double the power gets over 200 miles per tank easy.

point being factory evo's run rich with warranty.

i guess richer is safer, but not to rich and washing the pistons

what about a nice meth setup? when I had my fpred and meth running at night it looked like bomb's were exploding behind me, dont know if that was good but a short time later my fpred blew.

 

thats what you get when you bolt on parts and dont spend the money for a tune...all cars run rich from the factory dont they....
