17 With an Evo IX
17 With an Evo IX
Hey guys. I've been a forum creeper on here since 2006 and I was 14. Changed accounts when I actually got my car so Im not so new here but I've hardly ever posted. First I'll start off with my history. Dads a gear head. I wont list our cars but they cover the world spectrum. Ive grown up in the passenger seat of some very impressive vehicles, where I learned to race. The day I turned 15 I got my first car, a 305HP 2003 Mustang Mach 1. Cherished it till the day I sold it at 16 1/2. I became a weekend warrior of the track, an autocross adrenaline freak. lol When I decided to enter the world of Rallycross, I decided to go Evo, considering two things, 1). Evo's are my dream cars!! 2). I couldn't stand the sight of another blue WRX... Unfortunately financing was difficult. 10k for the stang and I payed the difference. The Evo i got? I picked a 2006 Evo IX SE, with 68,000 pampered miles thanks to a 60 year old Lockheed Martin engineer who kept her bone stock. Only owing 8k i picked up 3 jobs and 20hours a week+overtime during the school year and here I am today! Two weeks from 18 with the car of my dreams in getting my high school diploma, on my way to the track soon as the bell rings! Not one accident, not one ticket, not one unfortunately foolish decision since the day I sat in the drivers seat 3 years ago. I am thankful for every single opportunity that has led me here, for my father who has raised me so responsibly and carefully, and for this forum that has guided my decisions. Thank you EVERYONE

You sound like a responsible young lad. Gratz on your car. It demonstrates that when you want something in life, you gotta work for it. Not like some of these snotty rich kids around where I live that got mommy and daddy buying them BMWs and Benzs.
And welcome to the site man, there have been a load of d bag 16-18 year old kids on here. You seem to be the exception. Post pics of the rides
sounds sweet man.

Your lucky dude, Im 18 and I don't even have a evo yet! Lolz, Man I wish it wasnt so hard getting a job.... anyways post some stuff on your evo! I bet everyone else and I know I would like to know all about it!
Sounds like you have your act together a lot better than that other 16 year old that recently posted a thread for the first time. Anyway, enjoy the ride! Be responsible, take good care of it, and you'll have tons of fun!!!
