AMS or Perrin exhaust?

I'm looking for a new exhaust, a little bit more quiet and subtle one... i have a HKS hi power exhaust and i was wondering which one would be better a AMS exhaust or a Perrin exhaust. which would be quiet and which would provide more power?

I would say go ETS. But if it has to be out of the two you mentioned, I would do the AMS. Reason why, is im not sure about the whole Perrin exhaust, but my Perrin HFC failed miserably and caused my car major issues. Im not the first person this happened to.

Listen to sound clips on YouTube.com or find someone local (Regional Forums) who may have a setup similar to what you are looking for. From threads here, I have read that the Perrin is more docile as a cat-back. If you are doing a full turbo-back, with cat-less option, both will be loud (Perrin may still be a tad quieter, but not much).

and yea i've listened to both online but it's still not the same as in real life. i'm trying to get more information for both exhaust... which one looks stealthy? and any cop problems with either ets, perrin or ams?

I think ETS only has one exhaust for the Evo right? One of my friends has it and it's super loud audibly and visually.

Perrin would be the more quiet of the two. Power will be about the same with both. I had a Perrin cat back on my old Evo for a while. Fit well, sounded nice, gentle at cruise, noticeable at wot. Have the ams tbe now. Loud at cruise, ear splitting at wot.

The Perrin is still pretty loud though. Maybe check out Road Race Engineering, they have a stealth catback which looks and sounds stock from what I hear.

AMS and ETS is loud for sure. CHeck out the B&B or the Works exhasut if you want something quiet. Two of my friends run those, and they're nice!

I use a Perrin exhaust w/ HFC. I highly recommend it if you looking for a quieter exhaust setup

ETS looks stealth. They are now making a quieter exhaust.

The ams is pretty loud at WOT but nice growl just cruising I like it that way. The fitment was right on. The quality is very good, my exhaust has been on for four years and went through 3 winters no rust. It made a lot of power with min. mods there is no real restrictions im running delete pipe anyways thats my imput good luck
