Seriously though, only 1/50,000 kids in america even get an evo... think about that,

0-14 years: 20.2% (male 31,639,127/female 30,305,704)
15-64 years: 67% (male 102,665,043/female 103,129,321

I know its 1-14 and 16-64 so lets just add it to about 50,000,000! now thats about 1000 kids ( 16- 18 ) that even own an evo, now compared to 50,000,000, 1000 kids is nothing!!! So its not even that big of a deal, now out of all the people in the world 307,006,550 1000 is WAAAAYY to small even to see on a graph with that many people!

So what my point is, that be happy for those 1000/50,000,000 teens that get an EVO... wish them luck and safety and tell them not to brag if they do! If they do all that is said to defend them is gone and they are too immature to own an evo.

iliketoparty;8688024]couldn't agree more. kids don't need an evo or anything comparable imo.[/quote]

Well I have to chime in because Im young here lol. I feel very mature and smart for my age. Im 20, turning 21 on the 26th. I started working fulltime at 17 and have had a steady job my whole working life. I purchased my house at 19 and have a very blessed life. I was raised by my single mother becase I had a alchy abusive father so in no way was I spoiled growing up. But at age 19 I had a 2005 Dodge Ram Rumble Bee, a 2004 YFZ450 a 2008 Raptor 700, a 2003 Z1000 and my 1988 RX7. None of those are 'slow' or 'safe'. I know a lot of my friends that are in my age group or a little older would have wrecked probably all of the above.

Someone stated out that kids shouldnt have 1000cc bikes, I disagree. I started on a litre bike. And I wouldnt have it any other way. All the extra torque of a litre bike makes them a lot easier to start on if your smart and know your limits.

ive noticed most of the people driving evos are more mature and know what they are driving is a great machine. I see more slow riced out hondas speeding and getting wrecked by teens, than i see evos getting ragged on. im only 19 and i beat the hell out of my lancer, now that i have my evo i know that its a way better platform and im going to do everything right the first time. So it goes both ways.. some teens can handle it and some simply cannot. IE, the guy on tokyo drift racing daddys viper

You HAVE to have experience behind the wheel before you step into the recaro drivers seat! All 16 year olds feel invisible, believe me I know. But save your self, your family, and insurance the trouble and hold off on that car.
If you can afford it great! wonderful. I dont believe things should be given to you. I hope you do to! Hard/smart work earns money in this world. And an understanding of that is completely neccesary for a car that can out handle most cars on the market. Not to hate on you guys. I think I speak for every Evo owner on this topic.
Thats my 2 cents. I just cant take these noob kids out there who think theyre bad a$$ because they can get one or want one.
Stay in school

heres my opinion:

you have no say in whats the right age for someone to own an evo and if its an ideal 1st car or not... you bought your evo at 17! all you are doing in this thread is trashing yourself. heres your previous post:

do you think at 15 you should have had a 300hp mustang as a 1st car? i dont think so. im sure people talked sh*t about you being a spoiled teenager owning that car on mustang forums, but in your eyes it was ok... do you feel better now that you can turn around and talk sh*t on other teens now that your 18 and your training wheels have finally been removed? and im sure your dad is helping pay for your evo/insurance, he obviously has the money to dish out with the collection of cars you claim to own.

your a joke. and you should leave your immature comments off this forum
