First car is an Evo?

A mitsubishi Evo as a first car? Jesus Christ some kids.. better yet. Some parents. To all kids out there wanting Evo's GOOD! Its a wonderful car! As a first car? HELL NO!
You HAVE to have experience behind the wheel before you step into the recaro drivers seat! All 16 year olds feel invisible, believe me I know. But save your self, your family, and insurance the trouble and hold off on that car.
If you can afford it great! wonderful. I dont believe things should be given to you. I hope you do to! Hard/smart work earns money in this world. And an understanding of that is completely neccesary for a car that can out handle most cars on the market. Not to hate on you guys. I think I speak for every Evo owner on this topic.
Thats my 2 cents. I just cant take these noob kids out there who think theyre bad a$$ because they can get one or want one.
Stay in school

true true...its like a motorcycle...you dont want to start off with a freakin $10,000 1000cc...you need to experience a car...experience driving...ive seen worse though...a 16 year old with a corvette...and an 18 year old with an m3...

Evo is my second car..I got it when I was 17 (about to turn 18) in high school.

I'd say I turned out alright...but I'm also much more responsible than my friends.

BTW I'm only 20 now.

I'd say about 85% of the time your correct with your original assumption...but you can't lump all teenagers in the same category.

and not to keep the age topic going but just recently theres been alot of kids on here. and believe me my car was far from "given" to me. Not to be hypocritical my self of course. And this goes without saying that kids shouldnt have Evo's. I know alot of high school and college kids with them and they are responsible! So congrats! An Evo that young is truely a dream come true!
And no im not 17.

I agree that you shouldnt be handed stuff and earn it!

BUT! If they do earn it they are obviously responsible enough, AND when you actually get the car and you pay as much as you do INSTANTLY you become worried about your car and want nothing but the best for it and take care of it!

Now about the Daddy/Mommy giving them a car, IF this happens dont you think the parents are going to put the child through DRIVING LESSONS ( After all they are weathly) doesnt matter if your rich or poor, your still going to LOVE YOUR KID TO DEATH and want him to be safe. AND if the kid even knows about EVOS there is obviously something there saying he is going to treat it good and be an amazing driver ( 4/5 Times ) NOT LIKE EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT AN EVO IS! ESPECIALLY in highschool! I talk about them and everyone is like, HUH WTF? I want a lambo! Yeh see... takes some sort of "right mind" for a kid to get this car, not like he doesnt know what an evo is capable of!

So everyone just lay off those kids that get an evo at a young age, feel happy for them and wish them safe driving!

couldn't agree more. kids don't need an evo or anything comparable imo.
