If you're not looking for something loud or flashy, I think the Cobb would suit you nicely. I drove an Evo 8 with the Cobb turboback and it was pretty quiet, but still had a nice sound to it. I'm not sure if the Cobb for the Evo has a taper, I know the catback for the Subi does, but I think it looks great and is low profile.

Any suggestions?
I have the exact same problem. I also been leaning towards the Turbo XS but i havent really seen this setup on too many Evos. The slanting to the right I dont mind because I am planning to get the JDM rear bumper. The only thing im concerned about if i should go cat-less or high flow cat or even having the stock cat on. Having a test pipe will make a difference but we live in cali so I kind of dont want to get introuble.

@evo3gsx - Didn't Cobb stop producing their turboback for Evos?

evo<3 - I was thinking about the Buschur tbe, since I've heard it makes a bit more power than the rest of the pack, but I've also heard it was one of the loudest.

Mishi9 - I'm not too sure about a high-flow cat. I was thinking, for me, it was either going to be a test pipe or just keep the stock cat on, since a high flow cat is pretty expensive when I can just get a test pipe and slap on the stock cat once a year lol. Then again, a stock cat won't save you when your test pipe is installed when you get pulled over. Anyways, have you gotten any police attention in Visalia? I'm only about 25 minutes away in Lemoore and haven't been hassled yet, but I moved to Fresno to go to school and haven't been harassed by cops/idiots yet either.

well my buschur TBE with the magnaflow and HFC is not too much louder then stock at idle i can leave my house and pull in dead at night and not wake anyone up and most of the time (which is kinda of sad lol) i can hear my engine bay over my exhaust ohwell basically if you put a TP on any exhaust its gonna be loud, just food for thought

I wouldn't recommend a Buschur with a test pipe if you want to remain quiet. Mine is pretty loud but it sounds great at idle and full throttle. I've been pulled over for it even here in PA where the restrictions are pretty light.

My greddy evo II is almost too quiet, but it does have a small taper which i just had cut off and replaced with 3" pipe and flange.

So have you decided on a setup yet? I've gotten alot of positive feedback on the Greddy Ti-C TBE with a Titek Turbo outlet. I'm kind of leaning in that direction but i still want to hear about the Turbo XS TBE.....

My Megan exhaust is very quite with a resonator; with basic bolt ons, Its very mellow even when I downshift. If you're concerned with noise put a donkey dick(to channel exhaust & decibel downwards as used in AutoX to meet noise levels.)
