Crash beam removal?
Crash beam removal?
I did remove my crash beams on my 03 but I never had an accident.
I am thinking about removing them on my 06.
I just want to know if anyone has a horror story about them being removed.
Has anyone had an insurance claim denied because they were not in place?
I understand that if you do hit something slowly the damage is likely to be more severe than It would have been with the supports in place.

Replace with this?
JDM Bumper?
I heard that the crash beam only really helps at low speeds so I wouldn't see a reason not to remove it.
Are you going for weight reduction?

I don't know that a case has ever been mentioned on here however
remove it at your own risk...
there is always the possibility you get in an accident and the insurance adjuster notices and reports the removal of factory safety equipment

im removing my front next time the front bumper is off... we should petition for demonworkz to make a modified one for the front, like they have for the rear for jdm rears.. saves like 20 lbs over the stock one
Trust me, I've done a 5mph crash (rolled down a slight incline for 5ft) into the back of a bmw 7-series. Front crash bar took out my IC, fan and radiator. You will lose them either way. Only damage to the bmw was that the grill mesh imprinted on his bumper cover.

omg thats crazy!
