Okay I have an evo 9 salvaged but im not sure which one is better for me in the long run. Should I get rid of the 9 and get an 8 or should I keep the 9 and get another 9 evo.
Which one is cheaper to fix for me in the long-run. I plan to sell the salvaged one for cheap and get one that hasnt been hit with a clean title. Whats the up's and downs of having the 8 opposed to the 9 vice-versa?

For the most part they are very similar, but there are some differences. Knowing what your plans are will out.
Im sorry I should have been more specific im going to use it for a daily driver going to mod it for 320 thats about it. I dont track at all since I work all the time. So basically its just for your everyday ****s and giggles.
Well at 320 thats a very small goal, a TBE, intake and tune and you can hit that number. I would have to evaluate the salvaged 9 to see. Your going to spend more money for the second 9 compared to the 8. There are some motor differences in the motor between the 9 and 8, but with your goals your not going to notice any of them.. So it comes down to money, The 8 will have more miles, and the 9 will be more money, but if you find an unmolested 8 or 9 that has been taken care of they will both last you a long time. They both are great cars. you will enjoy either on.
Congrats and best of luck,

That 9 is going to take A LOT of work to fix. If you have some good hook-ups and can get deals on parts then it might be worth it, but the price of body panels on the car are expensive. Your probably looking ~2500 for just the hood, two front fenders and paint. I hope it all works out for your though. Good luck.
