Exclamation Slipping clutch or other issues?

So when in 3rd-5th gears, especially on the highway when I accelerate rather quickly, My rpm's rev up real hard then drop down a little then it starts actually going fast. I did not have this problem before I got 3" TBE, Perrin intercooler, upper & lower IC piping, o2 housing. My tuner thinks its my clutch beginning to slip/go out. Is this the case or could it possibly be something else? I have NO money for a clutch/install at the moment so I am really worried. This also happens on the street if I want to show off the ride. Usually in 3rd gear, I floor it (well not all the way) but again, my rpm's rev up real steep for a split second until it goes back down and hooks up like a rocket. I don't want to ruin anything so I have started to baby it. Any pointers from any experienced tuners or anyone who has dealt with this would be great. Thanks a lot.

Starting happening to me a while ago. The best clutch test I did was put it in 5th around 40mph and floor it. The clutch slipped a bunch, which told me the bad news.

Edit - FYI 2 weeks after I did that, 3rd gear starting grinding. About 3 weeks after that, 2nd gear was notchy. 15 minutes after that, I turned it in for a new clutch/flywheel and a Bushwacker. Good luck man.

With your addition of the above mod's, you've reached the end for the stock clutch. When the rpm's shoot up it means your clutch isn't holding. The more you make it slip, the faster it will go out.

Am I hallucinating or did you post this twice? Your other post has the same answers.

Unfortunately it does sound like your clutch is slipping. You can baby it around and try to save for another clutch. You should be good for a month or two.. Just don't do anymore showing off or you'll be replacing it much sooner..

Definately sounds like the clutch, although when mine was wearing out it slipped in the lower gears first.
