I would say the APS dual vent is probobly the best bet...
My only gripe is, I have to adjust it so loose (adjustment screw) to avoid surge @ part throttle, when every1 else seems to have the adjustment screw fully tighten or damn near... Not sure if they just deal w/ it or not, but it was so bad, for me, that I didnt even log a WOT run, just turned around and went home to loosen it. It seems to operate just fine the way it is, (6 threads out) but Im left wondering if it would hold better if it was tighter... chances are, yes!
The Synapse is hit or miss. The stock IX leaks ~ 26psi (varies)
Best case scenario is to go SD w/ a Tial, but until u go SD, APS or stock!

I've had the type r and it's an awesome bov. I got rid of it though because I hated having to adjust it just right for my setup ( which was different a lot of the time with different fuels). I went to the ssqv and it worked great up to 35psi and I didn't have to adjust anything.
I've also used the sard r2d2 bov and it works perfectly too. I only had this one up to 22 psi though.
As far as bovs I'd either buy the tial or hks myself (if on sd), but I know that's not what you were asking

1g dsm bov+ dodge garage mod?
http://www.thedodgegarage.com/turbo_bov_mod.html
It held beautifully up to 38 psi on my old 2g, and did not leak at all. I would imagine you could do something similar on a MR/IX bov, but I don't think anyone has tested it.
Plus, take this as a suggestion from someone that has run literally EVERY kind of bov on one car or another, from the cheap ebay Type S clones all the up to a Tial, including synapse, HKS, all 3 greddy types, RFL, and a bunch more. OEM mitsubishi has always been best IMO. Good luck with whatever you decide.
